Die Vorlage ist sowohl als Arbeitsblatt für die Hand der SuS sowie als Folienvorlage für den Einsatz im Englischunterricht, vorzugsweise der Oberstufe, geeignet. Die sechs wesentlichen Fragen (W-Fragen) einer Summary werden aufgegriffen und visuell in einen Zusammenhang gesetzt. Den SuS wird verdeutlicht, welche Fragen an einen Text gestellt werden sollten und wie diese insgesamt im Ergenis der Summary als inhaltliches Analyseelement (Aufgabe 1 im Abitur) zusammenspielen. Ein Einsatz des Materials ist in der Erstbegegbnung mit dem Gegenstand bzw. einer Hinführung zum Thema ebenso geeignet, wie bei einer Ergebnissicherung, Vertiefung als auch Differenzierung.
